The RKB Bearing Industries Group is the Swiss manufacturing organization which has been operating in the bearing industry since 1936, with a monthly production capacity exceeding 350 tons of machined steel.

The experience gained over the years provides RKB with the know-how and expertise necessary for the development and production of technological value-added bearings, particularly for the heavy industry, where it is recognized by both OEM and MRO customers as a preferential supplier within the top world-class manufacturers.

BUSINESS SETTING
Nowadays the direct operational activities of the RKB Group involve not only Switzerland, where the Executive Headquarters and Technological Center are based, but also many other countries, with a global distribution network and exports worldwide.

PRODUCT AREAS
RKB’s production is primarily focused on three industrial product segments:
•  T1: miniature and small size precision ball bearings (up to 35 mm bore diameter);
•  T2: standardized rolling bearings (up to 1925 mm outer diameter);
•  T3: technological bearings and Application Optimized Bearings (AOB).

CONSISTENCY
Thanks to its pioneer business model, based on a vertically integrated organization, from raw material procurement to after sales assistance, RKB is able to offer reliable cost-effective solutions in the long run, with extreme operational flexibility and leading-edge service.

RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY
The RKB Group allocates yearly around 10% of the turnover to its Research and Development Department. As a consequence, RKB’s technology, know-how, engineering and R&D, with fully equipped metallographic and metrological laboratories, the Advanced Software Engineering Unit for mechanical design and the ever-growing test rig center, permit to manufacture top quality rolling bearings.

ORIGIN
According to the trend of the major multinational companies of the sector, also the RKB Group directly produces in different countries of the world, but keeps all of the core competencies and critical operations in its Swiss Headquarters. This allows to proudly state that all the products of the Group are completely “made in RKB”.

STOCK AVAILABILITY
The capital intensive stock of RKB, regarded as the most important in Europe in terms of product range and availability, is run by a proprietary and patent pending advanced software system (RKB ASSM – Active Strategic Stock Management), which enables to offer drastic time to market reduction and full scale global presence.

QUALITY STANDARDS
RKB manufactures all of its bearings in conformity with the related international standards in its three owned modern plants that are ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified, and audited and approved by several key clients and independent bearing test centers.
